Oh great.

Well after difficulty exclusively breastfeeding due to extreme pain because of a condition, I had to start pumping (even that hurts really bad) and supplementing..my pump motor went out earlier. Fantastic right? Obviously I need to get a new pump, but I can't afford one right now, unless someone knows of a good pump that is under $100? Honestly I don't know what to do. I'll try hand expressing to see what I can get out.
I'm just so discouraged and stressed right now.

If you're not against hand pumps you can get some greats ones for under $100. I had one with my son and ordered a new one for this baby of the same pump for $50

Walmart has some good pumps under 100 also look into the hospital you gave birth at most of the time if you ask for a hand pump they will give up a free one, check the health department around you, and maybe even the wic office they have asked if I needed one before, as well as any vitamins too, such as iron and things. I hope this helps.

You know there is nothing wrong with formula feeding your baby. With as many difficulties as your having that might be a better option for you. Though not necessarily any cheaper, but spread out over time.
My wife had issues with BF, because her supply never came in. We switched to formula and haven't had any issues.

You can usually rent hospital grade pumps from pharmacies too.

Formula is not just as good as breast feeding. The companies want us to believe that but there is so much crap in it. Good job for keeping it up. It can be very challenging even for moms without physical obstacles. There are milk banks if you are ok with that idea. Also, I have a Madela harmony. It's a hand pump but it works really well and only cost $40. I've also heard that you can make your own formula. Maybe worth looking into?
