Being induced :)

Hey mamas... Im due the 12th or the 21st... I have 2 due dates lol i went in for my check up today. Still at a one though but my cervix is thinning but still very high... If i don't go into labor next week ill be induced next Saturday im so happy!!!!

This makes no sense. If they think u might not be due until the 21st why would they induce so soon? Baby might not be ready.   I'd wait until after Xmas.

Oh my. Well, if you don't have progress, it ups your chances for a c section. But i wish you luck mama.

I know the end of pregnancy is trying anf tiring, but why not just wait?? What if your EDD was the 21st and the baby has issues breathing? WHy not just trust your body to do what it's meant to do?

Congratulations. But, I would be iffy not knowing when I was exactly due, just in case. I hope everything is alright with you are your LO.

I had 2 dates with Maks, dr. Was adamant that it was sept 25, when I knew conception date, and I was there when it happened   lol I went by sept 15...
Had appt. Sept 13... 1cm still high up...

Water broke 2:30am on sept 14th.. o.O I was in labor *1* hour at 3:29am he was out, and he's been a holy terror since  

December 12th to December 21st is only a 9 day difference. If she gets induced next Saturday which is the 15th that's only 6 days early if shes due on the 21st, why are yall making it a big deal.

with some babies even one day can make a difference. I just don't understand the need to force the baby out, just wait it out like it was mean to be!

Have you ever looked up the dangerous effects from Pitocin on baby and mother?

I am speaking from experience.

I was induced at 39 weeks with pitocin. It literally forces the baby out, no matter how much your own body is prepared. I almost had to have a c section from him getting stuck, but they finally got him out with a vacuum. If I waited and let my body do what it was made to do to prepare, I wouldnt have had such a miserable labor. I was just blessed LO didnt go into distress from it and was developed correctly.

You can be pregnant for two weeks AFTER 40 weeks.. 40 is not the set in stone number.

I am not knocking her for doing it, because I did the same thing. However, I did it because I did not feel like it was a "big deal." It very much is. I just would like her to make the most informed decision.

If she continues with it, then that is on her and her doctor and I just would like to wish them well and hope everything goes smoothly.

Well I knew this was gonna be a touchy subject but honestly im ok with it.. I was induced with DD but she was 3 days late... I only measured for the 21st 1 time in an ultrasound.. All the others where for the 12 Everytime...
Then i had to switch doctors because mine retired and the new doc just went for the last date... I understand how yall are saying wait but thats not gonna happen... Probably wont change my mind either... Next week i will be 40 weeks according to me and my first doctor so calm down everyone

Very true! This happened to me w my 2nd daughter. I will never be induced again!

I LOVE that commercial. It's stupid and selfish to be induced if there's no medical reason for it. trust me, i was that person once and i will never do it again! the baby willllllll come when he/she is ready. why put him/her and yourself in danger?
