re: Being induced :)

I don't think that its so bad to be induced. I am 36 weeks and two days and my doctor is inducing me on Dec. 17th when my due date is Jan. 1st.

Well like i said me and my first doctor had my due date at the 12th only once did the ultrasound tech get a due date of the 21st and thats was very early on in my pregnancy and every ultrasound after that was the 12th all the way up till my last ultrasound.. So ill be 3 days over in all actuality my new doc just decided to use the furthest day... Call it stupid and selfish if u want but ill be over due

Unless you have a medical emergency, no he is not.

I haven't had too bad of problems, but i have had a chronic Urinary Tract Infection for two months and was in the hospital because it was making me contract at 29 weeks. I did not particularly want to be induced, but my doc is the one who suggested it so they are the professionals and I listen to them and want what is best for my baby boy.

well then that would make sense, if you feel like you'll be over due. i just dont see what's wrong with letting him/her come on their own?

You also realize that doctors make more money with inductions and c sections then they do with a natural birth right? Yeah, they are professionals, but they are motivated by money. Of course they are going to bring up induction, especially to 1st time mommas who most likely don't know any better.

I wish on everything i have that i didn't have to be induced, but in my case, its needed. I could not imagine doing it voluntarily!

All i got to say is the doctors know what they are doing and they wouldnt offer inductions if it wasnt necessary!!!!

Bahaha hun, they do it all the damn time. If they want it on their schedule, they try and push induction.

Ya well my doctor doesnt do inductions unless its really necessary and some doctors might do it for the money but there are some honest ones that actually care about the health of the mother and child. Just pointing that out.

Well next time don't imply that ALL doctors don't induce for no reason. Get your facts straight.
