I did last year.
He isnt interested in drinking and being socialized like I am.
Therefore, I went out and he watched LO. It was a very nice break!
I would do the same for him if he ever wanted to go out.

DH just got a new job so if he has to work that night we will be spending our new years apart
quoteposted 7th Dec
Thankfully neither of us work or have unavoidable arrangements for New years.. But if we did and had to spend it apart I don't think it would be a big deal.

Last year he was spinning at a new years event, I chose to stay home with kids...
quoteposted 7th Dec
Sure I would. It's just another day/night for me.
quoteposted 7th Dec
nope, new years we always go out to dinner & have a couple drinks together & then watch the ball drop with our son. I like spending new years with him, I don't think it's a big deal if you don't though.

No, it is M's bday and we spend it together as a family.
Neither of us party anyway so we wouldnt be going out unless it was as a family.

I voted depends. Due to work there is the possibility we could end up having to spend it apart but that hasn't happened yet. Also if we had different ideas of what New Year was about, e.g one seen New Year as a time to go out and party and the other liked a quiet night in then I wouldn't mind but we both have always liked staying in since having DS and just had a quiet night then off to bed lol There is a few times we have had to spend Christmas apart due to me working and that is really upsetting but New Year I don't really care about to be fair.
