DH is killing me.

Seriously.

Last night he calls me on his way home and goes "so [friend] is having his house forclosed on. I told them they could move in with us"

Okay. I'm whatever about the idea. But he didn't even bother to ASK ME first! It's my smurfing house too!

My house is roughly 1500 Sq Ft. 3 (very small) bedrooms, 1.75 small bathrooms.

Our family is 4 people. DH, me, DD, and DS. They each have their own rooms. They are seriously small rooms.

He expects them to share a room.

Get this.... This other family has 6 people. Yes. SIX people! 2 adults, a 17 yr old, a 9 yr old, an 8 yr old and a 4 yr old. FML.

DH wants their 3 youngest to share DS's room while my two cram into DD's room (which is the smaller of the two).... This is indefinite. FML. Seriously.

I would freak the smurf out.

Holy smurf. Are they going to help with bills and things?

I'd be like no. I don't mind helping friends out but when it involves messing with any if our accommodations, I don't think so.

Well I might be able to deal with it if there was an end date and if the kids didn't have to share rooms. I pay $1100 a month for a nice house so each of my kids can have their own bedrooms. They shouldn't have to share.

SO wanted us to get an apartment with one of his friends and his friend's girlfriend. I can stand the friend, but the girlfriend is horrible. And a thief, but that's a different story.

Your DH needs to accept that money.   His family is seriously inconvenienced by this. They can qualify for housing since that situation is considered "extremely overcrowded housing."

I don't know what I'm more angry about. The fact that he didn't ask me first or the fact that my daughter now has to share a room with my abusive step son indefinitely.

You have every right to say no? Do you have a garage? Is your living room big enough? We have a guest house and some guest rooms but if we didn't those would be the only two room I'd let someone live in.

they will pay rent right? i wouldnt let it be a Free ride..

BTW my firend is going through somethign similar butit was her family and she agreede to have her Brother and SIL: and their 2 kids stay at their house. but they dont have jobs and are living there for free at the moment
