I don't like the wife because she doesn't know what boundaries are. I invited them over for DD's birthday in July and we don't have AC. We just have these little floor units that are in the bedrooms. She smurfing went into my bedroom to dick around with my AC set up. Get out of mine and my kids' bedrooms! That is my private area!! If it's not the second floor or the bathroom on the third floor, stay out of it!

But seriously, I'd be furious. If I had to park in the snow, I'd move my husband's smurf out to the snow. No way in hell would I let me and my kids be the only ones inconvenienced by his 'selfless' act.

We have a "bonus room" downstairs which is my office/the kids' play room where he wants to put the parents and the 17 yr old.

He then went on to tell me I won't be allowed to get into my garage that way (if you don't go downstairs you have to go outside and walk down snowy stairs) and that the only reason I will be allowed down there is to do laundry. Sorry smurfer. It's my smurfing house. I will go into my first floor if I want to.

I would be so pissed off...something like, I'm going to put fibreglass in your underpants pissed.

There's no way I'd go with that! That's nuts!

My thing is I drive a tiny ass car. The less snow on it the better. I should be able to park in my heated garage if I so want to. I told DH to tell them to get a storage unit for that smurf. I don't want a washer/dryer, fridge, stove, table,couch,tv, all of that smurf in my garage.

Hell smurfing no. I'd put a time limit on that smurf. They need to find their own place to rent in like 2 weeks.

Right? I personally think they should all be downstairs. My kids should not have to share a tiny ass room because someone else doesn't know how to pay their mortgage. They claim that they didn't notice the payments weren't coming out. Like seriously? You just randomly thought you got a $600 a month raise? Do they not check their bank acct? And supposedly they're like $8k in default.

The story in itself is just shady. But I know they make over 100k together.

I'd be okay with it for maybe a month. Just because the way this is falling, nobody rents places out here till the first of each month. But the sacrifices the kids are making is insane.
