Sick baby.

Last night i posted that my daughter had a fever of 101.0 and I gave her motrin. The motrin took it down to 100.1 and then we put her to bed, when i was getting ready to lay down (about 4 hours after we gave her motrin) i took her temp and it was 103.4. I finally found some tylenol to give her which was around 12:30 and by the time i gave it to her her temp was up to 103.9. This morning when we woke up at around 7 her temp was up to 103.2. I gave her more tylenol and pedialyte because she won't eat. The after hours nurse last night told me i only need to bring her in if shes having trouble breathing or has a seizure.   Does that sound normal?
ETA: She's 13 months old.

I was told by my peditrician to bring my daughter in with a fever over 101 that doesnt break with the fever reducer...I'm sorry but I would have been taking her in after it didn't go down with the meds I wouldn't wait for the worst to happen.

I was going to take her to the ER but the childrens hospital is about 50 minutes away and we have to pay a toll so that why i wanted to call and check and she acted like i was stupid because she said "that high of a fever is fine"  

I would definitely take her in asap! A fever that high can cause brain damage. Best of luck hope she feels better soon.

Something like this happened before but her fever wasnt as high and i knew what it was, i knew she had a UTI. I had to take her to 2 different hospitals for them to finally test her and she had a UTI. I'm going to call her pedi and see if they can get her in and if not i'll bring her to the ER.

trust your instincts if u think its wrong u take ur child in...the doctors dont have to deal with your baby you do. Doctors don't know anything and sometimes they don't listen if its bothering you go in who cares what they say or if they think you are crazy at least if its nothing you have peace of mind that its nothing since if it is something and things go wrong you probably would be rather hysterical.
