Just try and put her to the boob as much as possible and maybe try hand expressing if you can't get your pump.

For the co-sleeping maybe if you don't want to go against the nurse wait until the shift change and ask the next one if you can.

Have they tested her for a UTI?

Are you at a hospital that has a maternity ward? The hospital I went to the kids and maternity are all joined. They would of happily got me a pump if I explained the situation. Maybe ask if they could work something out for you?

Id be telling the nurse to mind her damn buissiness, she's your child and you know what he wants and that is to be with her Mummy!

I went through this with my son, he was in for 3-4 nights on a drip his temps were up to 41.2 I think his highest was, it was terrible   It ended up being an viral infection, after a couple days they called in a specialist to help because they didnt know what else to do, they ended up ceasing all panadol, nurofen, antibiotics etc and let his body fight on its own  

We had a cot for him but we also had a fold out lounge where he slept with DH at night (I had to stay home with my youngest cause I was still BFing).
