I'm gunna brag a little...

So I'm always saying how we "live in an apt in my parent's basement" or whatever and I just wanted to brag a little on our little apt. It's obviously not ubber fancy (and I need new living room furniture), but I think it's pretty awesome for living in someone's basement LMAO We have 1600sq and there is another bedroom, another living space, and a dining room not pictured. Oh and I didn't take a pic of our entertainment center either, but anyway, it's actually coming along quite nicely....

(Disclaimer: The point of this post is obviously not to take smurf for "living with my parents", but of course it's a public message board so reply as you wish, but I will say this: Yes, we are TTC, yes, we are self sufficient as we live in an apt, yes, all three of my kids share a room (for now), and no, we have no plans of moving out or "getting our own place" anytime soon. That is all.)

Hey, there is NO problem with living in an apartment thats technically a basement. You're doing better than me, I'm jealous lol. It looks great though!

It's actually really big. Like I said, there is another bedroom, another living space, another small room which we're turning into a nursery, the dining room and an entry way that aren't even pictured. Whenever we tell people we live in a "basement apt" they always assume it's like some little dungeon or something, but really, it's just like a one level home IMO.

It's awesome. The stairs pull out and each step is actually a drawer and, positioned differently, the sides of the steps are actually shelves, so there is so much storage. Plus the stairs pull off and each bed can be used separately as well. I got it at bunkbedking.com. They make several styles and even one like this, but with a trundle. It was a pain the smurfing ass to put together though, and expensive...   Last year's tax refund present to the kids  

Oh and BTW, we did the whole thing. This was a completely unfinished, 1600 sq ft, rectangular giant chunk of cement walls and floors before we started it...

Wow it looks great! Reminds me of my aunt's basement! It's like that where it has like a bedroom, workout room, full bathroom, kitchen, gameroom, entertainment room I guess you'd call it with the tv and what not. Who cares if you're in someone's basement, it's like its own total living space! I think you did an awesome job!

I love this! We are 19 and 22 w a 2yo and living with my parents and brother in a 3 bedroom house. We still have little one in our room and its cramped as hell but after Xmas we are getting a big nice house and splitting the rent and I couldn't be happier! We'll be living in luxury for under 300 a week lol, what's to complain about.

We are lower-middle income and house sharing with my rents gives us a better quality of life - we always have hundreds of dollars left each week and my son has the best of everything. I'm totally comfortable with our decision and so should you be! If it works, let it work

It looks like you have a lot of room, lol. My two kids and I live with my parents in a three bedroom house, so I'm very very jealous of you right now.

Gorgeous! So jealous! I just had to move in with my mom... but My husband and me and our LO are in my old room... just till we can find a decent rental that allows our doggies though.
