Pre E

I'm pretty sure I have it. Swollen toes, ankles, fingers, Dizziness, and headaches. My next dr apt isnt until next wednesday. Should I go to L&D in the morrning and get tested or wait for my dr apt? I had it with my 1st baby but I wasn't told until 7 hours before I went into labor.

Yes go to L&D now, like tonight. Waiting til next Wed is too long. You need to have your BP checked and be monitored. Good luck.

Yes go to the hospital now. Dont even wait until morning just do what you have to do call your doctor and head in.

Even if it didn't the headache is concerning. OP, do you have any visual changes? Spotty vision?

Call your ob and tell them about your symptoms. Maybe they can do a same day appt? Out here they can but that was about the only thing my ob had going for them.

I cant go right now, its 3am, my SO has to go to work in 2 hours and he cant miss anymore days or he will lose his job. The swelling in my feet I noticed about 2 days ago and I just noticed that my fingers were swollen a few hours ago. I've also been having braxton hicks all week, not normal at all for me.

Sounds like you should be seen ASAP. At the very least call your doctor now and see what they say.

If you push down on your foot with you finger for 5 seconds, then move your finger, count how many seconds your skin stays white and indented before it goes back to normal. Count slowly. One mississippi, two mississippi, etc. How many seconds does that take?

How long have you had the headache? Have you tried any meds to alleviate the pain? Do they work?

Can you drive to a 24 hour Wal-Mart or Walgreens and sit at the blood pressure machine so it can at least take your BP?

They will want you to come in. I'll tell you that right now.

Do you have two cars? Can you drive yourself so your SO can still go to work? He doesn't have to be there for you to get checked out. You can call him later in the day if you need him or if it's an emergency etc.

We only have 1 car and even if we had 2 I don't drive. I went to L&D they took my blood pressure and it was normal so they sent me home. They obviously arent taking it as seriously as I am. So I guess I'm gonna wait until my doctors appointment and go from there. The swelling in my hands isnt as bad as it was last night and I don't have a headache at the moment.
