bumpy back roads?

is it safe to ride on bumpy back roads to help progress my labor? mySO wants to take me but i dont know. any advice?

when my contractions where stopping the midwives actually recommended driving on the lumpy bumpy roads around where we are! I must admit it made them start again and they were closer together and got really strong while driving about. But as soon as i got back to hospital they stopped again, Think my body just didn't know what it was doing! Lol. x

when i was in labour with my daughter. we lived in the middle of no where and i had been in labour for 14 hours, so we took the bumpy roads to the hospital and i was still only 2 cm  , i quickly progressed but i highly doubt the journey there speed things up xx
