i am supposely 40 weeks pregnant i have two different due dates dec 2 and dec 10 i started having contractions there starting to get close and come more often but this is my first child and i was checked last week thrusday i was 80% effaced and 1.5 cm dilated my question is does it sound like labor is near ...

I say within 2 weeks you will have a baby. Until your water breaks, or you are admitted to the hospital thats the best anyone can really tell you.

If you contractions get close enough together and stronger yes.
