I'm 9.4 weeks today if i bought a fetal doppler would it be able to pick up a heart beat?

it may. it all depends on the position of the baby i believe. :]

I was told it was about 9wks. In my last pregnancy group, a bunch of the girls got dopplers and were finding it about that time.

If you are thin to begin with, it is much easier. If you're heavy or have belly fat (like me), it will be a few more wks before you'll be able to hear it on a doppler.

Lucky! I'm 7.3 and I can't definitely hear the placenta but no hb yet. I think the placenta might be blocking it.

So had my first appointment today and they said my uterus was measuring bigger than 8 and a half weeks. Have an u/s next week. Does anyone know what might cause this? I know when my last period was and when I ovulated and they are saying I'm measuring late first tri

Imm more of a heavy set girl so I will just go with waiting a few more weeks   (I don't even have a doppler but was thinking of buying on)

Any how, how is everyone going?
My symptoms have really slowed down I only feel sick around food cooking and hot foods ( My smells have increased), I am constantly tierd I sleep 12-14 hours straight (beides waking for the loo), and my pelvis and groin area plus thighs are starting to ache (Is this normal?)

This is the longest pregnancy I have had in seven years (My youngest is almost seven) between then (Seven years ago) and august I had three pregnancy losses and none of them I had symptoms. They wouldn't test me because one was a ectopic and two miscarriages (Apparenlty you had to have three in order for them to consider something wrong), oh and because I have had four term healthy pregnancys they took that into consideration.
I am really hoping everything goes smoothly i'm sick of been left empty handed,

I didn't think the placenta started to form til 8weeks at least?

I dont know when it forms but I know it is its on my ultrasound from 6 weeks 2 day doc pointed it out

I just ordered mine! I got it for $56 with free shipping. yay. I should get it in about 4 days. I'm really excited. I'm praying that mine sticks now. If anything was to happen though I would send it to one of my close BG friends

ahh okay, I might have read it wrong. It takes over production at 8 or so weeks which must mean it still forms lol. Sorry, It's been a long night and I haven't had a day off in 8 days. Sorry

I agree.... I'm going to buy one this time, but I'm gonna wait a couple more weeks.

And I'm so sorry for all of your hard times   I really hope this is a good experience for you, too!
