I realized a few days ago that 85% of my maternity gear I hung on to does not fit (Not surprised, I gained an ass load of weight since then) So I went out shopping today looking for new tops and I swear nearly everything has horizontal stripes! Why? Already fat, and now pregnant, lets lay some stripes around you and make you look bigger. Thanks, Jerks. I did manage to find a super cute nursing top/tank for 5$ that I want to live in since its so cozy, lol. Hope I still think that when I'm yanking my boobs out of it.

I have my Down's syndrome ultrasound tomorrow morning. I am so nervous. Last time I had this scan there was no heartbeat. Sigh.

How did everyone else's go if you had it?

Im going for mine on Wednesday and it will be the first time I've been back to that place since I went there the pregnancy before by last and also found out there was no heartbeat. I didn't go to that place the whole time I was pregnant with my last one just couldnt bring myself to. But I decided it was time to face my fears but since I made the booking I've had some light stopping so am totally freaking out but trying to stay positive

I had one ultrasound already and I almost passed out when they couldn't find the heartbeat at first.

Howdy Girlie! I'm doing well --- except for a smurffy day at work lol. Do you know if they'll schedule you for an u/s after this first appt? I don't know how you've lasted this long w/out an ob appt --- I would have gone MAD, I tell ya!

I haven't had one (and it doesn't look like I'll be getting one according to my doctor), but I wish you oodles of luck tomorrow! I know you'll be nervous with good reason, but try to take a deep breath right at the beginning and just TRUST that this time will be different....

haha. I've had the early ultrasounds and I have a doppler at home so I know baby is okay. I just checked tonight lol. I wonder if they will schedule me an ultrasound on Monday. I'll be going on 12 weeks and I know they do the anatomy scan at 16 weeks. I'm not sure though. I probably wont ask unless they bring it up. I'll be 12 weeks on Thursday. It's crazy to even think about!

I totally agree! Horizontal stripes for pregnant women (or chunky gals, in general)? Who comes up with this crap?

You know what else I find stupid in fashion? High Heels for tall girls! I'm 6ft tall & I wear a 12, sometimes 13 shoe. It is hard enough trying to find cute shoes in my size.... I don't NEED a friggin' stiletto! Sigh....

I wish I felt more confident about my home doppler ---- I really thought we'd found the baby's heartbeat the other night. It didn't quite sound fast enough, but we counted the beats in 10secs & multiplied by 6 & it was over 120, so we felt good about it. Then, someone else posted a video of their baby's doppler sounds --- and it sounded a lot faster than mine... so now I'm back to being uncertain again. I'm trying not to worry too much until I see the doctor on the 19th & let him try with his. I should be almost 16wks then, so it should be fairly easy. I might bring mine in & let him try it to see if I'm using it right. Ehhh, I'll probably just try again tonight with the hubby. LOL

So, what's crazy to think about... the 12 wks? Is this your first baby since your loss? At what point did you lose last time? For me, it was 11wks, so once I was past that, I felt a lot less anxiety about this one.

I was 9 weeks when I started bleeding but I was only 5 weeks by ultrasound. So this will be my rainbow baby   I ran into a girl at my doctor's office while I was having my blood drawn for the m/c. I guess she ended up losing hers at 14weeks   It made me really sad and ever since then I have been worrying really bad. I asked her if they knew why but she didn't say anything. I thought that once you were past the 1st trimester and something happened that they would be able to tell you why. It's been so long between my pregnancy with DS and this one that it's almost new to me ya know. Everything is exactly the same symptom wise as it was with DS; that's about the only thing that I remember lol. My son just turned 4 on the 8th of December. My birthday is the 20th
