We told the in laws last night. They reacted as I expected. They were excited but aren't ones to shut off TV and show emotions. My mil gave me a guilt trip about how we don't bring him over there enough then told me I'd have to wean ds. (He's only 10 months old...) I told her I'd keep going as long as he wants and that plenty of women feed two babies at one time. She was disgusted. Lol. He's only going to be 15 months old when we have the new baby. If he isn't ready, I can't force him. Lol. Especially if he sees the goods every day. Lol.

Hi ladies! I hope everyone is well.



I had my first prenatal appointment yesterday. My midwife didn't want to check for a heartbeat because she said it might be to early and didn't want to upset me. She checked my cervix and felt my belly and said I look and feel pregnant.

It's almost three more weeks (Feb.15th) until my 1st trimester screening ultrasound. I'm going to try and wait until we see a heartbeat and the baby moving at the ultrasound before announcing.

Hi ladies! Just wanted to introduce myself! My name is Kelly and I have a 31/2 year old daughter and am due with my second on August 31st! My original due date was Sept. 1st so I have been over on that thread, but wanted to say hi and get to know you ladies too! (I most likely will be having a C-Section in late August... I am kind of scared about that since I had a vaginal birth last time.) Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Me... I'm 12 weeks and had to tell family this weekend. Lol. I was going to try to wait one more appointment because I've been spotting since 5 weeks, but I can't. Lol.

Thanks! Yes everything is okay but I had my entire colon removed and a j-pouch created in 2 surgeries (last May and August) and the risks that go along with a vaginal birth way outweigh those of a C-section. It's not set in stone yet, I am still going to meet with my surgeon and my ob and talk everything through. I had an awesome vaginal birth experience last time around and would love one again but I just want to make sure baby and myself are safe!

Is this your first? if not are you showing sooner than with your previous? I couldn't hold it in, I told my close friends and family almost right away even though I wanted to wait till about 12 weeks! oops! What have your doc's said about the spotting?

Lol. We wanted to tell on Christmas sooooo bad... He said its probably just an irritated cervix because it happens when I do a lot of lifting (laundry or cleaning) and when I try to poop... It's hard not to lift with a 10 month old...

I'm bigger quicker with this one (2nd) but im 15 lbs lighter.lol. Idk how that works.

I'm not showing at all yet, and I am hoping for a vba2c this time around, I am really excited about. I recommend reading Ina May Gaskin's Guide to Childbirth, it opened up my eyes and makes me feel so empowered!!
We told everyone right away, my husband is bad about that, plus I wanted opinions on my very faint HPT so I posted a pic to facebook. Plus I got symtpoms right away so it was easier to just tell everyone. We have now seen and heard the baby's heartbeat, so I am feeling ok about that.
With my second I showed about 3 weeks sooner than with my first. this one I expect to pop out within the next two weeks, I hope!! I feel pregnant, but I don't look pregnant.
