Testing before getting birth control?

Ok i get my arm birth control on tuesday. My doctor said that i have to go in Monday to take a pregnancy test and a blood one done. My last period started Nov. 22nd and ended the 27th. We have has sex without condoms a few times these time but he pulled out. If i would be pregnant it would only be like a week. Would it show in a blood test being done? Im more then likely not pregnant but im just making to sure because if i am i dont want the birth control to hurt that baby.

I'd wait till you know for sure you aren't pregnant.

What she ^ said. If you don't feel comfortable testing, don't.

If you have a regular like 28 day cycle you probably wouldn't be getting pregnant until around this time so I'd be careful with the sex up until then.

I would suggest rescheduling for when your period comes. That's what they made me do.

I'd wait to get birth control for another few weeks just to be safe. Until then make sure SO/DH wraps his weiner.

Tell your doctor the last time you had unprotected sex and see what they think. Then stop having unprotected sex until your BC is put in.

I do have a 28 day cycle but we did stuff last night but im not wanting to do no more intill i get the birth control.

Depend on when you ovulate. You could be ovulating today and get pregnant because you had sex the other day. If that's the case then no. It will not show up in a blood test. And if you ovulate on on a normal schedule it's very possible you ovulated today or within the past couple of days

The at home piss test showed me as pregnant at week one, so a blood test should def show up

Ok weel thank you ladies ill see if i can get it another day but if not i just hope it would show in blood. When i was pregnant with my soon it showed up real quick on a test and i was only 3 weeks.

That's why they usually tell you not to have unprotected sex for two weeks before your appt OR to have it done when you're on your period, so you KNOW for sure.

Honestly though, if you JUST had your period late November, you would only just now be ovulating, so unless you just had sex yesterday, I wouldn't worry about.
