I doubt it would bring better treatment. But def more awareness. No one knew what HG was when i had it but i bet a lot of women have figured it out in the last few days.

I hope it brings more of an understanding to the world, though i see people still make fun of her for 'just having morning sickness' and i have read countless news articles where they refer to it as HP or spell it completely wrong.

I have it right now and suffered through it with my last two as well. I hope she gets better soon. Its a smurffy thing to have

I had it with my first, everyone thought i was just milking morning sickness and being a big baby so I didnt have to do anything all day

it seems like the percentage with HG has also increased. It doesn't seem like it's that 2% i've read numerous times. The severity of HG does differ though... I had a friend who had it.. but she didn't need anything besides zofran pills.. where others are on a picc line, zofran pump, iv fluids...

I'm not sure there is anything else that can really be done about it. I know I have heard or seen a lot of people making fun of it and people thought I was milking it while I was pregnant. I got to the point where I just quit talking about it to anyone because I couldn't deal with people saying "really? morning sickness? it's not that bad."

It'll bring more awareness but I highly doubt more treatment.

I had it and it was horrible. It has deterred me from having another until maybe when Ariadne is in school but maybe not even then

it's ridiculous that even some doctors don't believe it's "real" and will say it's more of a eating disorder or mental illness

I had a lot of ppl tell me I had a eating disorder and I was making myself puke.

im allergic to Zofran and Reglan.. i was screwed.

I think it will definitely bring more awareness. Just since the whole hate thing everyone I talk to is now like "oh poor her she is soo sick". Yet I was bein a baby and killing it? Ugh whatever lol

  did you ever try phenergan? they gave me Reglan once when I was at the ER and i had a really really bad panic attack! It was so scary! I felt like jumping out a window or ripping my insides out

I hated Reglan! It made me so jumpy(if that makes sense). Zophran does nothing and phenegran helps but makes me sooooo sleepy!
