Is this okay for a 9 month old?

My husband and I are short on money, my daughter is 9 months old she drinks 6 to 8 oz bottles and I was wondering if its okay to put 2 to 3 oz of whole milk in with her formula to make her formula stretch longer or no?

If there is no other way around it I would. The baby has to eat.

That's not a good idea as milk is not recommended till 12 months due to the possibility of the stomach being underdeveloped. My daughters ped. even said it can cause milk sensitivity and even internal bleeding.

I don't think that you should. Call the pedi and ask.

I think some food shelves may have an emergency can, I donated the free ones I got to a food shelf because I was breastfeeding

Introducing whole milk too early causes iron defiency anemia too. Its becoming a big problem. I just learned this! If there is no other way then I guess its better than nothing.

WIC doesn't provide all they would need formula wise even if the baby is strictly formula fed. Starting at 6 months the dwindle it down. You normally get 7 of the 13oz cans and that's it starting after 6 months.

Do it until you can get replacement, but thats it. They need it for a reason.
