Tryin to hold on till the right time

posted 6th Dec
I just had 2 miscarriages in Aug and Sept but seeing all these preggo women walking around is making me miss my baby even more.I know we should wait until the right time and when were more stable, but its hard to know i should be showing by now. I been thinking a lot about our baby and want another one but were not quite ready in our relationship again. I wanna have a bahy when were both ready and everyone else will welcome this w/open arms. I just been having baby fever a lot lately lol. We are doing well in our relationship so far and are in counseling to help us get better, so maybe soon. Just curious , how long did u wait until u started to try to have another one and were u ready?

It's not unusual that you would have baby fever after miscarrying. September was only a few months ago. But if it were me, I would do my best to get over the loss of the babe, grief and THEN try if you two are still ready. Maybe in March?

We start back immediately after the bleeding. I don't get over losses. I still cry over my first loss at least once a week.

The best advice I can give you for making sure the baby stays attached to your uterus is, just relax, stay off your feet, no salt, no stress, strict bed rest for the first 13 weeks so that you're in your safe zone. :] Good luck.

I understand that, thats how I was at first but I am glad I am waiting, even though its hard. I know i'll never get over it but I wanna be fully ready . But i am for u. Did u have a baby right after?

My situation was a little different because my son was stillborn. But after the PP bleeding which lasted 9 weeks and all of the testing (another 2 cycles), we were told to go ahead and start trying because I had a hard time getting pregnant the first time. Well, i got pregnant on that first cycle. I was kind of a mess during that pregnancy and my due date was 5 days before the date when I delivered my 1st son. Would i do it again that way? No probably not, but I wouldn't knock anyone for doing it either. It's something you and your SO have to answer for yourselves. We can give advice, but you 2 are the ones who are going to have to do the whole pregnancy thing. The worry and anxiety, etc.

Thank u a lot and I plan to not try to stress, but i do have two boys lol I will try my best to bed rest but I work, but my work just requires to sit down all day, so I should be good. I know we'll be nervous at first. Thank u!!!

I wouldn't suggest bedrest unless your dr orders it. Bedrest isn't going to fix most 1st trimester issues. Plus pregnant women are at higher risk for blood clots. Dr's don't prescribe bedrest lightly.

Wow that would be a hard place to be at, but i understand. I mean like u said to each their own. I know we aint ready yet, so were waiting. I just wanted to ask other people advice too. I know the worry etc will still be there. My bf isnt ready yet, so Ill patiently wait lol But when the time comes that we start I wanna know and will know we'll be ready cuz we waited until we were ready. I am just having mix feeling which is probably normal. But i am happy for u and glad u shared ur story

Well there's stuff they can check for, like blood clotting issues or low progesterone levels. Those can be treated, but you need to go in early enough for them to do the testing. It's just blood work. They'll also do an hcg count 48 hours apart. As far as people messing around down there, I have appointments every 2 weeks sometimes more than that where they give me a vaginal u/s. I have cervix issues where I do need bedrest and progesterone and all sorts of stuff you probably won't have to worry about.

They really should only be all up in your vaginal area twice. Once for the initial exam (swabs and pap if you haven't had them done in the past 6 months) and a vaginal U/S for dating purposes. Also, they might check again if you have any bleeding or anything else weird going on.

They shouldn't be doing anything that irritates anything in there.
