Would you

ever use a last name in your family as a middle name?

My husband's hispanic and he has two last names, Martinez Lara, and he named his oldest daughter Lara for his family since she wouldn't carry that last name.

Depends on the last name

I would use my brother's, Mason. Other than that, no.

My choices are basically Migliano, Gannaway, or Chartrand.
I don't think so, lol.

I'm going to use my dads (stepdad..I call him my dad) last name if I have another son. He died in 2010 and that's how I would like to carry him on.
It's Allen.

My son's first name is a last name. My grandmother died on 12/28 and my son's due date was 12/28. Her maiden name was Tristan (which is DS 1st name).

I think my dads middle name might be that situation? I gotta ask and double check. Anyways his middle name is milfred so I guess if it were reasonable I would...in this case my dad hates his middle name and banned its use for further generations haha...no worries because Im not touching that one. Not my cup of tea.

No. How strange.

I was thinking about using my great grandmother's maiden name as a middle name if I ever have a daughter....
quoteposted 6th Dec
I wouldn't as my maiden name is Yalch. Haha. (Rhymes with mulch)
But I know a couple who's last name was a normal first name, and they named their daughter after the wife's maiden name. (Flannery)

Yes. My middle is a famiky surname, as is my brothers. In fact all my cousins have them as well.

Yep!! My son's middle name is Millan. It was my great grandfathers last name. He was a train engineer and a war hero and just an awesome person.
I also wanted to use my maiden name (Blake) as a first name but it sounds awful with my last

My brother's middle name is Tucker which is my mother's maiden name/family name. Then his and my last names are Evans (until I get married anyhow heh) and had considered using Evan... but only as I like Evan but not so much for my family name as I hate that side of my family, mostly my dad heh.

I would if my maiden name or my mom's maiden name would sound decent as a middle name. I'm not sure what my grandma's maiden names are.
