I wouldn't sya an endless supply of fruit is okay. That's way too much sugar imo. I think you need fruits and vegetables, in moderation.

I think it's more of a balance of nutrition more than a certain amount of fruit. As long as your carbs aren't more than 50% of your total intake (along with fat and protein) then you are good. That being said, it is better to snack all day long on fruit and have too much than to avoid it and then snack on junk.

I say it is healthy. I know there is sugar in it, but it is naturally occurring, not processed, and fruit is full of all sorts of naturally occurring, unfortified vitamins and has so many positive benefits.

I always wonder what these people think could be better for you than fruits, veggies, and nuts, since that is what we have always lived and thrived on before ways to preserve food came along.

Australian health says 2 serves of fruit and 7 serves of vegetables daily. More if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Fruit has sugar so no, I don't think it's okay to eat an endless supply of it. Certain veggies on the other hand, are good to eat a large amount of.

Just because it is naturally occurring does not mean it's okay to eat a ton of it. But I would love to be able to eat a diet of Fruits, Vegetables and Nuts. I just like steak too much

I say you still have to moderate your fruit intake because even though it's healthy it has a ton of sugar. My aunt eats everything organic, no processed food or drinks at all but she eats a ton of fruit and just got diagnosed as pre diabetic.

I'm a dietitian but i havent kept my registration up.
Most credible nuttitionists will tell you that fruit must be limited. It's a simple sugar. It's a carb. and, when eaten in some forms (smoothies, berries, etc), it is very easy to consume WAY too many calories that dont have "staying power."

about 2 yrs ago Weight Watchers liberalized the amounts of fruit you can have. I swera that has made a HUGE difference between weight loss and no weight loss for some people.

I didn't say just because it's naturally occurring, I said that meaning I don't think all sugar should be lumped together in one category.
