No, its not selfish! Its YOUR body. I'm having a hard time even wanting my SO in there! Lol. I told him hes only to look at my face the entire time! I'm a more private person though. My SO brother and sister in law had the MIL in the room when she delievered so I feel like shes going to want to be in there with me....but thats not happening. Its your decision!

I didn't have much till after DDs placenta came out...then when I sat up it went everywhere (tmi lol) .

That being said, OP is the one laying there with her bits on show, so it should be up to her. Maybe you could come to a compromise and let her come in after the birth....but if she's a bitch about it I wouldn't even let her know.
