I have a boyfriend who's supportive we want to keep it but my parent think its terrible want me to get an abortion and think I'd make a bad mom idk why. Why is it wrong to want to keep your own child

if you can support your child then i dont see the problem in keeping the child.. but if not then you should look into other options but that doesnt mean abortion.. theres always adoption. just lay your cards on table to them, explain to them how you are going to handle things, make them feel good about your choice

I don't think it's wrong as you are mentally and physically able to provide for your child and do everything in your power to financially take care of him/her as well. That's at any age, imo.

Its not wrong to keep it.If you can support it then keep it. If you cant but don't want to have an abortion then go the adoption route.

It's not wrong as long as you are fully able to support your child.

No. My mom had my brother at barely 17 and was a terrific mom from the get go. It becomes a bad idea when the person isn't mature enough to handle a child's needs on top of their own or just doesnt care to try. If you think you can and want to then it's up to you.

Like others said, its not wrong as long as you can fully support yourself and said child.

No! I chose to parent at 16. Best decision I made I am married to the father 10 years later & have 3 kids with him soon to be 4! but its not for everyone.

Can you two financially support yourselves and a baby?

Oh & just wanted to add at 16 & my husband at 18 did everything on our own & have since the day I got pregnant that was important in making the decision to parent! =) good luck! Dont let your parents make the decision for you!

no...my mom had two kids by the time she was 19...and she was a damn great mom. She still graduated high school and put herself through college...you just have to be motivated and be able to support your kids!

No. Im 18 my parents support me fully emotionally not finacialy. It was alot harder for my dad just because he had high hopes for me and he hates my BD but its not like my BD is really involved anyway. If you feel your emotionally and finacialy stable then do what you want. Just remember there are other options than abortion. PM me if you need to talk.
