Dilemma

So this may get a little bit confusing. I'll try and keep it clear as possible!
I recently turned 21 and haven't gone out because it was the middle of the week. My friend J just turned 21 also. J has a baby with a guy I dated early in high school, who I always thought him and I were on good terms, even though we didn't talk. Well, J told me all the smurf he's talked about me and all the lies he spread about me.
J and I have been planning to go out for AGES but her man says if her and I are going out, HE is going no matter what. I am not comfortable with that. My man isn't comfortable with that. We made plans for tomorrow to go out to a local bar. And if we say he can't go, he will show up and cause a scene. So it is almost not worth it.
My best friend C is ok with J and I going with her to another bar, a little bit further away. But J's man CANNOT go. He lied saying my best friend talked smurf. Which she doesn't because she hardly even knew him. And if J makes it hard or her man, I feel bad saying this but I don't want her to go. I'd rather it be a girls night, with no drama (which there already is).
What would you do? Say screw it and forget the drama with J and just go with my best friend, or go and deal with her man being a dick the whole time?
And I can't go out another night this weekend because I'm going on vacation to Tennesee to see my sister! SOOOO excited!

I either would lie to him about where we were going or pick another time to go with her and this time go with the other friend. Stay away from him if he's going to be trouble
