if you are financially able to move out, i would do so. You dont need the stress.

I would move out now. Sounds like unnecessary stress.

I guess she has every right to kick you out. You or your children are not her responsibility.

Yes my MIL feels the same. working 40+ hours a week and a child and taking care of the house is the only way you are "busy"! Geez didnt you know this!

Really your only option is to move out.

This. It sucks but your life is not her problem. If she doesn't want to support Lu while you get your education, she doesn't have to. I would just move now and not wait until next year.

Actually no she doesn't. Unless she was renting an apartment or house or room and signed a contract and pays rent.

OP: Best bet is to just move out if you can afford it. If not find something to do and be out of the house when your MIL is home. DH and I were living with his parents when our first was born and they kicked us out cuz they wanted to replace the carpet>_< So we had to live with my parents because where we were waiting on our apartment application, they didn't have an apartment ready when we had to leave his parents.

Ehh... Pretty sure she's right. It's her legal residence, it doesn't matter if there's not anything in writing.

That sucks that a person cannot kick a free loader out.
