tonsil stones?

i have tonsillitis right now, i do get tonsil stones aswell, i been trying quite a few things like cotton buds to get the stones out, but only seems to work if i can stop my gag reflex for a while, i been looking online to see what things i could use to get rid of them, what are water-picks? what do they do?

Pretty sure they just shoot out water for you to kinda floss your teeth with.
I believe that is what that is,
But,I could be wrong and sound like a complete baboon right now..

It's those water things that the dentist uses, you can buy one at Walmart

Water picks shoot a stream of water out of them, kinda like what the densit uses. I get them every once in a while, I can never get them off myself.

This is going to sound weird, but it works for me.......I used to try using qtips and they were so hard to get them out so one day I tried using a blackhead remover tool (it was brand new and now I have 2 one for blackheads and one for tonsil stones lol) it works! I use the loop to get behind the stone and it kind of scoops it out, and it takes a lot less time than a q tip did.

I hate those stinky things...I get them too
If I apply pressure on my neck where the tonsil is and hack hard they shoot out. I can't stick things back there because of my bad gag reflex.

Like I said I know it sounds weird but the loop gets behind them and makes it so easy to kind of scoop them out.

I need to try that.. hope it wont set off my gag reflex too bad.

yeah my gag reflex is good so hopefully it'll work well, just gonna have to buy a blackhead remover lol, i need a new one anyway

Its quicker (for me it is anyways) than q tips so you don't have to spend as much time doing it so it might not be as bad on the gag reflex for you.
