If you are going out every night of the weekend thats to much IMO. Maybe like every other weekend would be ok. Its just what you feel comfortable with.

As long as your mom is fine with it I don't see nothing wrong once a week date night.

I feel like school and work don't count as going out. I'd say more than six times a month is excessive.

I went through that too. Guilt when dating, but the way I thought of it ultimately was that a.) It was mostly after my daughter went to bed. And. B.) A happy mom is a better mom.


Plus I did find the man of my dreams, and he us a wonderful father to my daughter (and the son we had subsequently   )

DH and I go on a date night every other weekend.

i totally agree with this....just make sure your mom knows how much you appreciate her help  

I'm a single mom too. And I rarely go out. Lol if I do its to the store by myself lol.

But honestly even if someone went out every night of the week when the kids were in bed, who cares. Leave when they are asleep be home before they get up. Kwim?

Well this makes me feel slightly better   Thanks. I just wish the guilt would go away! Last night I ended up leaving for a couple hours while LOs dad was with him at my house with my mom. He made me feel like smurf for leaving. That didn't help how I'm feeling at all. He expects me to just grow old and rot on my own. Lol.

My kid refuses to sleep without being nursed or cuddled by me. And then he wakes up all the time at night. So I haven't been able to go out after he's sleeping. I should really work on that.
