Reported death link to the flu.

Who all here gets a flu shot?
Why do you get it?
Why don't you?
I'm just curious because right at the beginning of flu season a teenage girl passed away and it has been linked to influenza.

No i dont get it and neither do my kids. I am a SAHM and they arent around tons of other people. My husband rides the train daily and works so he gets one.

I got the shot three years ago and I'm not saying it is linked but I got the flu that year. I got it because I worked in the ER.
I didn't get it the past two years and never got it. I still worked in the ER.
I won't be getting it this year. I don't go anywhere high risk.

I get a flu shot...my job requires them but you can refuse. Ive never had a bad reaction to them and i rather have the shot. I got the flu a couple of years ago and it lasted a week. I know people say they are bad for you but so if fast food, to much sun ect. Ill take my chances But to each their own

We don't get it.

My whole family gets it. We have never had any side effects (other than mild soreness at injection site.) I get it because I dont want to get the flu and I want to prevent the flu from spreading by my getting infected because I didnt get vaxed and spreading it to others.

We all get them.
I get mine at work for free, and my husband and kids got them at the pediatrician (even my husband).

I am constantly around students, touching their keys..Then I go home to ds. Ds is watched by my mother but she has a 13 who is in public school.
I don't want to get one during my pregnancy but after baby I think I might...I work for a college so I come across alot of people daily.

We all get it. My 8 month old got her second dose about a month ago. There are too many deaths linked to the flu every year for me to not give the baby some protection.

We don't do flu shots. Never have and never will.

My kids have always gotten the flu shots because my youngest daughter has athsma, neither one of them have ever had any problems or complications from them. I have gotten them a few times though right now they won't give me one cause I am pregnant but I have had them in the past and I think it's worth it.

I got ds his a while ago. I just am getting nervous because I heard on the news that were only at the beginning of flu season and they have already alot of flu activity happening. The health department is holding a shot clinic.

I've never gotten it, and I won't until I'm elderly.

I got one while pregnant. They have a special one for pregnant women. I'm crazy about making sure we get them now. DD caught the flu in nicu from a nurse. We were discharged only to come back not even 24 hours later. After watching all of that everyone gets the vaccine in my house.
