Piercing baby's ears.?

posted 6th Dec
My little girl Is almost 3months old and I'm thinking about taking her tomorrow to get her ears pierced . For the mommys who took their babies how did they react to it? The only thing stopping me is the fact that I don't want it To hurt her .

Thanks in advance (:

I use to pierce ears and after doing babies I would always go in the back and cry   most babies only cried for about 2 mins until they had a paci or bottle, but I wouldn't recommend it until they are older because of how fast they grow and ears don't always grow the same way so there's a good chance they will be uneven when she's older.

We're waiting until our daughter is older. She puts on her ears when she's tired & we don't want her pulling them out. She also pulled on them when she was teething too.

I think you should only because I had my ears peirced at two months old and Im so glad my mom did because I never had to worry about them getting infected or filling in because by the time I was old enough to know they where there they where fully healed. All my friends and my sisters who waited until they where older to get them done had problems with infection and alot had to get them repeirced because they would fill in. I just got my second holes peirced and have already had problems with them because my hair caught in them and pulled one out and it filled in.

She cried when they pierced her lobes, as soon as they were done I gave her to her daddy, she calmed down right away and went to sleep, she didn't fuss about them after that, she's almost 3 and tries to clean them herself and likes changing them... they healed fast because she wasn't messing with them... she was 3 months also.

1 thing I did do was pierce 1 of my lobes when she got hers so I could kinda go thru it with her lol sounds dumb but it helped me remember to clean hers twice as often and turn them,

We got our daughters done at 2 months, she cried for a minute but then she was fine. I was always told to get them done while she was young because she wouldn't play with them, she always tugs her ears when she is tired to, but her earrings have never been an issue....

I got my first daughters ears pierced at 4no an I don't know why I did it so young, honestly. My second daughter is 4 months now and she's still so small and smurf I couldn't imagine getting her ears pierced now. Ill have them done probably closer to 8 or 9 months

I had the same feeling with my second. She is 10 months now and just so active I know they would get ripped out or something might happen. To much food gets by her ears so I will just wait until she is older and can understand cleaning and proper care. Amazing how things change from one to the other.

Yea definitely!
I might even just wait until she's much older. I don't know yet. But I'm definitely not in the big rush to get them pierced like I was with Isla
