Quoting Steff_Bishop:" The doctor said if he gets any bigger I would have to have a c-section, I want to have a vaginal birth. ... [snip!] ... woman goes through this I'm not trying to complain I just do not want to have a c-section. Thanks for the friendly replies."
Then the doctor would induce you. If he isnt inducing its because the baby isn't ready. Big baby does not equal healthy developed baby.

You can decline the cesarean. Your doc is jumping the gun.

The weight of that baby at this point is an estimation. People deliver 10 pound babies vaginally- your doctor sounds.. meh.

Your doctor shouldn't even be mentioning it, IMO. I know a woman who is 4'10" who gave birth vaginally to two 9-10lb baby boys. Baby being too big is a cop out, don't let your doctor bully you. What's best for your baby is to wait for labor to start naturally

Nothing is going to help until baby is ready, but at 37 weeks, you can start using Evening primrose oil to help your body prepare. It won't upstart labor, but in most cases it will soften and ripen your cervix. Sex and walking will also help, but again, only in LO is ready.

This. Do not let your doctor scare you into an unnecessary cesarean.
You never answered my question- how do you know he is "too big"?
