Encapsulating placenta late?

posted 6th Dec
I'm 9 days PP and am finally able to go pick up my placenta tonight. I know I've missed the stage where it is probably the most beneficial.. but I am suffering from some serious baby blues. I feel like I'm crying all day long - can't shake that sad feeling.

So if anyone has encapsulated theirs late, did it do anything for you? I'm desperate at this point for some relief, I'm almost considering eating it raw.

I know someone who did this and she did say it helped with the emotional aspect of postpartum.

I'm just hoping I haven't waited too long.

Look down at the bottom under "dehydrating your placenta".
I'd do that tonight and then make smoothies in the morning with the powder.

Sorry it won't let me link it

She actually was saving some for later when she anticipated the blues would come.

I think you're good.

I can have her PM you with info if you want.

Definitely not. You can even save it for menopause. It'll always work

I don't know much about placenta consumption. But I read where you said you were thinking about eating it raw, and in my opinion it seems like a long time for it to be eaten, without cooking it first to kill any bacteria that might have grown.

Oh   I was thinking she was going to put it in the blender with veggies etc and drink it uncooked. I have heard of women doing that.

It has been frozen.. There should be no bacteria on it, anyway.
