Yeah, it was a little uncomfortable being checked bothers me though. If you've been checked before & it bothered you, it's no worse than that

It hurt a little bit but it wasn't too bad. My first one I was 38w 5d and my second one I was 39w 5d. I was extremely lucky and was only in active labor for 6hours and then 5 hours. After the sweep, walk walk walk! I went car shopping after my 2nd one and I think that's what helped me go into labor.

How long does it take? Is it painful afterwards?

Takes less than 10 mins, not sore afterwards mainly strange coz you got the gel still up there as you walk it works its way down, so a bit gooey but not sore just strange!

Its just far more uncomfortable as they have to dig quite a bit, hopefully you are somewhere along effaced as that brings it forward, i wasnt and thats why it was worse, just remember to breathe as if you are in labour it helps i promise xx good luck xx

I didnt bleed, i would imagine you would have to ring if there is alot of blood or if there is clots, not your plug just clots.
