breast feeding and boobies concern??

Ok ladies would really like some advice ! ..so starting at around 28-32 weeks my breast leaked colostrum but since about 3 weeks ago (36wks-38 ) and my breast have stopped leaking is that normal ?? My nipples are very sore and. One day my boobs will feel heavy the next they wont at the begining i leaked so much when i didnt wear a bra u could see it through my shirt now even nipple stimulation wont even make them leak and i really wanna breast feed and im being induced next friday what should i do ? Should i make my doctor aware as well and can it stop me from being able to breast feed ? Pls help

Leaking or lack there of has noting to do with your ability to bf. Just put baby to the breast asap after birth and nurse nurse nurse. Your body knows what to do and what baby needs.

Whether you are leaking colostrum or not it won't effect your ability to breast feed. The way they nurse stimulates the nipple in a different way than you can do so, it doesn't mean your baby won't be able to nurse at all.

leaking has nothing to do with what will happen after baby. Baby will get colostrum for 2-3 days until your milk comes in. feed on demand, don't' watch the clock. Baby tells your body what to do. tell the dr's and nurses you plan to breastfeed. Most hospitals have baby nursing within the first 20 min of birth. even with c-sections

it's RARE, that a woman can't breastfeed.

Thank u very much ladies .. My sister in law had told me i should b leaking bc that means there is something for him to drink in there ...and she also said that women leak more right b4 they give birth and for me when i stopped leaking had me feeling like it was gonna b impossible......

So just bc its not comming out doesnt mean its not in their correct??

Not every woman leaks. When you deliver the baby they is a hormone released that tells your body its milk making time. You will have the colostrum for a few days then your milk comes in.

I didnt leak at all with either boy. You'll be good!

I didn't leak at all when I was pregnant. I'be been bfing for 11 weeks. You'll be good don't worry.

not everyone leaks.
I think it's the placenta coming out that triggers a hormone release that tells your body ok let's make milk. there will be colostrum ( aka liquid gold) for baby to drink for the first 2-3 days.
