Yeah, that's absolutely ridiculous. I am not at all a supporter of "education" that doesn't actually educate. haha

Knowing how pregnancy happens should be what you learn first. How to prevent pregnancy is important, but both males and females need to know how reproduction works.

Because you're a "guy" doesn't give you a free pass on preventing pregnancy just because most birth control options are for females. And this is just my opinion... but I do not think anyone should be out of the loop on the baby making thing.

That's where the finger-pointing, blame, teenage pregnancies, and bad communication about pregnancies come in.

We had to watch a movie in 5th grade about periods and boys had to watch one for puberty. Now they do it in 4th grade. It would have helped me if it was in 3rd grade. By 5th grade I had my period for a year. Then again in 6th grade we had to watch movies. I think some education needs to be the parents' responsibility

I always though abstinence meant until marriage which is why it just won't work. Most people that I went to school with are only just starting to get married now and we're 29/30. These days people (mainly women) are more interested in getting further education and a stable career before settling down, and its silly to expect people to wait until their 30's to lose their virginity.

See abstinence to me is not having sex. Not necessarily until marriage. Just at that point in their lives they arent

That isn't the concept here. Basically, it just means to not have sex as a way to prevent disease and pregnancy. It's usuallybtaughtbalong with the concept of waiting but proponents don't REALLY think people are going to wait until marriage.
