My family knows whats going on, I talked to my mom and she is now on her way here to get us.. but I can't stay there over night. so I don't know where I'd go at night.. she might stay here, though. IDK.

Do you have a neighbor you can go to for the time being? And why would you get in trouble if you were to call the cops, just for living in section 8 housing?

yo cant get in trouble if you call the cops espcially if your son is there with you and your pregnant it doesnt matter where you live your protecting your family. I would definitly get a restraining order against him though cause thats gonna be the only way your gonna keep him away from you

How do I go about a restraining order?

you get a restraining order by going down to the police station and filing it or by calling the cops on him they come out to your house and you tell them you want a restraining order on him because you're not safe.

You need to establish a restraining order first. After that, you let whoever is over your Section 8 housing know the situation. That way, YOU won't get in trouble. Is there any way you can move to another part of the housing, so he won't know exactly where you live?

Do you have a gun to protect yourself?

Just ask around. If you have a close guy friend, you could even ask if they could sleep on your couch tonight for some sort of protection. I am sure someone will!

If worse comes to worse,
you could either get a motel room until you go to the police station or call up a nearby women's shelter for advise.

You can also call the non emergency number to the police station and ask if they can have a unit drive by your place and make sure his vehicle isnt there. I am sure they wouldnt mind.

They will probably make you have some sort of proof that you are in danger...that is where the voicemails/text/emails come in handy.

you need to call your local domestic violence place and tell them what's going on. You have a right to call the cops.
