Post workout soreness

posted 6th Dec
I had my first meeting with a trainer at the gym on tuesday. She got me going in the weight room.

My legs are STILL burning. Everytime I walk downstairs, I cringe and curse under my breath

I'm hydrated, I've been eating lean protien, getting the right carbs.

What can I do to get rid of this pain? I wanna go to the gym today but I am dying

Other then the things you are doing, there isn't really much you can do.
Work through it. It lasted me like three days, I literally could barely move. But, for some reason when I worked out I didn't notice as much.

Stretch, massage and doing some cardio are the best ways to break up some of the lactic acid in your muscles that causes soreness.

Try drinking a protein drink right after your workout next time, this helps with muscle recovery.

Thanks

Yesterday I didn't hit the gym but I did an hour of yoga to stretch everything.

I'm going to do cardio and only light strength training today

I know you said you're hydrated but water is your best friend! Also I'm a huge fan of ibuprofen (so long as you're not allergic or pregnant) and stretching.

Aspercream. Its like icyhot but has no smell. Use if after the workout to help get some relief & pamper the sore muscles.
