babysitting

I'd like to get a little extra money and im just wondering what you ladies think is a good price to charge for new years eve all night?

maybe 5$ an hour most or like 40$ for the whole night?

Lots of variables to consider

Are you cooking for the kids?
What age(s)?
How many?
Are they sleeping over (until breakfast)?
What qualifications do YOU have?

For a major holiday, I'd day 75 for 8pm-8 am

If you are expected to cook or feed, then add more accordingly

HELL NO. hahah. I babysit and usually get $10 an hour. So 5 hours, $50. If the kids were sleeping at my house, I'd probably do a flat rate, like $100 for the night or something.

I'd never pay someone $100 to watch my children for the night. Thats crazy. Especially when they'll be sleeping 95% of the time.

I would charge 40-45 bucks. I would actually like the parents to afford their drinks and cab home!

I wasn't trying to be mean, sorry! Most people in the area I live in make that, I have friends who are Nannys and make upwards of $400 a week!

I KNOW! I wouldn't leave the house if I had to pay a babysitter that much.

I always pay my babysitters $10 an hour. They are taking care of my most prized possession!

It depends a lot on your experience... both my sister and I will babysit from time to time but since I've got 10 years of experience I usually get paid $15-$20 an hour (mind you this is in a wealthy suburb of San Francisco... down here in Whittier I usually get paid between $10-$15 an hour) my sister with little experience (maybe totaling 2 to 5 yrs) gets paid $5-$10 (usually in Marin no family pays under $8 an hour) and this is always when we go to their house to watch them... usually they would pick us up and drop of off (especially when we were still in high school) when Id drive myself they'd usually give me an extra $5 for gas.

Gosh, when I babysat I made $2-$3 per hour, lol.

I wouldn't be caught dead paying 100$ for a night
going out with not be worth 100$ on top of what drinks would cost
