Finally, My Labor Story.

November 29th I had my 39 week doctors appointment. Was checked and 3cm dilated, then got home started haven contractions but nothing too serious to worry about. So I went to bed around 11pm. Woke up around 1:45ish. took a warm bath, made me feel better. Laying on the couch cuddling my body pillow, I didnt know what contractions felt like, so I thought it was just pregnancy pains. eh, yeah it wasn't.

Went in the kitchen to talk to SO then around 2:00am my water broke.Then my contractions where like 2-4 minutes apart. Full blown labor. It sucked so bad. I was in so much pain.

It didn't take me less then 5 minutes to get everything ready to go. Waiting for SO's stepmom to come take us to L&D, because we didnt have a car atm, I started to vomit everywhere. So GROSS. SO got my a bucket. Ick!! We got in the car, and then 10 minutes later we where at L&D. I got there, and told the lady my water broke, she had me waiting at least 30 minutes to get into triage, between walking and moaning and groaing, and vomiting, and gripping SO badly. I finally told the damn nurse I need to get back there now. Then she called the other nurse fainlly!
They did the usual vitals, then all the damn questions.. Then I changed into my gown in the bathroom, I felt like I needed to pee bad. So I sat down and felt down there, and felt something in my vagina it didnt feel right. At all. The nurse had me lay down, and she hooked up all the monitors, and the babys heart beat was perfect, but something wasn't right.

So I told the nurse I need to push bad. Its almost 3am now. The doctor came in to check me and his umbilical cord was hanging out. He decided to flip and kicked his way threw the water sac. The nurse hurry and put on gloves then was on top of my legs holding the umbilical cord and his feet in so he didnt try to come out breech. About 10 doctors and nurses came running in and hollaring for IV's and everything. I just sat there and was being poked and proded then rushed as fast as possible to the OR. Where I put on a table with still 20 doctors around me, and the one doctor held my head and told me he was putting a mask on my face so I would fall asleep. Within 1 minute I was knocked out.

i remember waking up in pain i couldnt bare, with SO standing next to me. I started bawling my eyes out because i didnt know where my son was. They told me he was born not breathing and they recovered him and that he had to be rushed to the childrens hospital in Detroit.
i got to see my son for 5 minutes all hooked up to this incubator to be sent over. I got to touch his little thigh, he wasn't making the baby noises or anything. I was so scared for my sons life.
& the doctor old me when I went into the OR I was already dialted to a 10, I could've had him vaginally sigh.

My SO was in the waiting room the whole time this was happening with his Step-parents. His step mother told me once he heard everyone behind the door hollaring for IV's. My MIL said his face turned completely white and said "I hope that is not Raven there talking bout!" But sure enough it was me.

My baby boy was born at 3:30am November 30th Weighing 7pds 15 oz, 20.5 inches long.
He has been in there ever since he was born 6 days ago. Soon he will be home.




& now 3 months later he is healthy as ever!

Congrats! Sorry all that happened. When I read the he wasn't born alive thing my heart dropped.. I hope he is perfectly healthy at the end of all this. He's so cute too!

Thanks, and he is a big boy and very healthy now. (: It made me wanna kill people when the doctor told me everything that happened. no one wants to hear that at all.

Yeah, it must have felt like "this kind of thing doesn't happen to me".. I think that's how I'd feel. He does look like a big boy! He looks happy too like he just wants to come home and cuddle. So cute.

He is. I get to finally hold him today after 6 days. I cannot wait. They had him on a cooling blanket so he doesn't get brain damage from not getting enough oxygen and blood flow since he decided to kick threw the water sac and what now.

Is that why they're keeping him so long? To make sure he doesnt/didn't get any brain damage?

Sorry you had to go through such a smurffy experience, but glad to hear he is all healthy and doing well now

Yeah. It kinda sucks. But the doc has said he has made an 100 percent turn around. He might not haven brain damage. But we wont know til he is un hooked from everything.

He is. He's a little turd. <3 And I am fine, in some pain but now much. just want him home.
