Adoption or ???

I am not trying to offend any ladies who have put lo up for adoption, i realise that sometimes that is the best decision for mother & baby

Ok so first of all if this is normal procedure just say so. When my ex husbands cousin D got pregnant with her second baby she gave him up for adoption. Well part of the deal was that the couple paid ALL her medical & helped with living costs. Then when he was born the couple paid her $10,000. I thought it was kind of strange but never said anything. Then she got pregnant again & kept him. Then was pregnant again & adopted lo out, pretty much the same as the second baby but im not sure of the money amount. IMO she didnt put them up for adoption but instead sold her babies.... What do you all think

Did they pay her medical expenses AND pay her 10k? I don't get why she would keep one then not the other of she was just trying to sell her kids. If she wanted to do that she could just be a surrogate. Medical bills are expensive though. I could see them paying 10k just for medical expenses.

I would tend to agree. Sounds like she found an easy way to make a big chunk of change. I can't imagine being paid for my baby.

The medical and living costs thing isn't odd..but the other 10 k? Seems odd to me but idk much about all that.

Yeah they paid medical, some living expenses and the 10,000. She wasnt a surrogate. Her sister ended up taking custody of the second baby that she kept a few years down the road D said that he was to wild

as mean as this may sound, but sounds like someone who should be sterilized

Surrogates sell their children? I thought they just did it out of the kindness of their heart.

Nope. It wasnt planned she just got pregnant & then decided to adopt them out

This happens... I know someone who did it. I don't think it's really right. But it's not that odd.

i think in some case they do but i am not sure at all, but this doesn't sound like a surrogate at all

No, They do it for money.
The recieving parents will also pay for thier doctor
Visits as she said they did.
I've never heard of anyone doing it for free, i always thought it was
a business of it's own.
I think most would want thier egg and the SO's sperm used if thier paying
though.
