Oh man the recliner thing was awful in our I couldn't get back out of it right after giving birth to save my life.

Yeah, it was actually pretty comical when I look back on it. She's fanning me and wiping me down. I feel like a beached wale laying on my back and other nurses are just chatting me up..... while I'm completely exposed. Never felt more vulnerable in my whole life.

Walking up stairs about kills my back... sitting in a horrible recliner/chair is just as bad.

My first birth was awful. I had a c-section because of complications from a really large fibroid and they had to give me loads of extra pitocin to get me to stop bleeding. The recuperation was a nightmare. So much pain! This last one was awesome though. I had the fibroid removed five months after the first baby and all I had after this section was a morphine pump but recovery was easy peezy compared to last time.

Seriously! I think all the furniture is picked by single men that just have no idea. My back hurt for about a month after I had her.

Oh wow! I was totally afraid of a c-section and im thankful I dodged that bullet. My 2 other births were easy because I never felt horrible contractions that I couldnt get through.. the epidural worked good by the time they came. This time, they couldnt pick contractions up.. it was all back labor. We tried morphene and it only took the edge off for like 2 contractions.. that was IT.

Im happy your second was easier! Makes life so much better to heal better.

Hell im still bruised and sore from steroid shots from 2-3 weeks ago.

Ouch! Bless your heart. My mother had back labor with my brother and I. She had an idiot nurse. My mom kept telling her that the baby was coming and that she needed to push. The nurse just felt her stomach and told her that no, she wasn't even in real labor yet and that she wasn't even contracting. My mom said fine, pushed, baby crowned, nurse panicked and tried to close her legs and paged the doctor. Doctor chewed her out for not listening to her patient.

My nurse had a hard time getting the heartbeat back on the monitor, so they did an ultrasound to check on her.. she was fine, but they noticed my bladder was full. They drained it.. and the Dr was gonna check me again since like an hour ago I was at a 3-4cm... She was like.. "Oh wow.. the baby's head is right there.. shes gonna be crowning soon.."

My bladder was holding her in.. lol

I have but even with VBAC friendly docs that I've talked too, they don't recommend it and I completely understand. If I had just had a c-section, I would have definitely gone for one with baby no. 2. However, since I had a myomectomy done laparascopically sp? to remove a 10cm x 10cm fibroid, my risk of rupture is to great to attempt one. I hate it.

i had a nurse send me home with my back labor. came back 2 hours later couldnt even breathe through contractions and i had pre/e so yeah def needed to be at the hospital.

Wow, i am so glad my NICU wasnt like this, besides one stupid nurse that i got switched, my sons dr made sure to come see me, and since i was healing from a c-section if i wasnt able to come up to NICU he made sure to let my mom know everything that is going on, told me the sooner i get him to the breast the better, granted he was only hooked up to an IV. The only issue i had in NICU was this one stupid nurse who told me he was sleeping and i needed to go back to my room, i got her switched, she also told me she knew what was better for my son then me, and i might add that at this point my son was 2 days old and i had only gotten to hold him once, and only see him twice.

all you have to do is tell the charge nurse that you wanna meet with the doctor they will setup a time you can sit down and have a conversation
