Bahaha I was always there. But our nicu was private so I could stay with my baby all day and all night. I just felt that the nurses had so many way sicker babies than mine. I wanted them to be with the babies that needed them most. But then I always asked everyone a million questions! I discovered that if I asked a nurse about something we needed a doctor for I didn't hear till the next day but if I asked the lactation consultant bam about an hour later the doctor was there.

oh my gosh!! i remember the neonatologist poking in while i was pushing!! along with tons of students... he stuck his head so near my crotch to introduce himself!!!

That's odd. I took about 200 photo in ours no one said anything.

aw lucky...so each baby has own room?? or nicu has literally ALL THE BABIES in the same big room...no curtains...only wheely ones for breastfeeding. still thats not much...and you see micro preemies dying or hear o them dying alll the time... during the short time we've been there so far. we've had a mom same gestation as my son there and we were talking about what we would do first when we would take our babies home...i said i would watcch him sleep she said she would sing to her baby..just last week her baby passed away due to a bacteria the baby caught in nicu  

i kinda wish eaach baby had their own room here... i mean its great to get to know other nicu moms. but id rather not now that i think about it... its too sad sometimes.

Oh wow.. thats just awful. I had my baby 6 days ago in this catholic hospital.. I was having the WORST back labor in my life.. like hysterically crying, trying to move inbetween contractions, and I was contracting bad.. she wanted me to sit up right then and there so she could take freaking forever putting the epidural in... I told her "Smurf that.. let me work through this one contraction and then I will sit"

She said "Dont you DARE ever say that to me again or I will LEAVE this room and it will be a LONG time before anyone else could get up here to get you an epidural..." I just smurfing bawled harder. My husband didnt say a word because he knew I needed the pain relief but I plan on making a HUGE complaint to the hospital soon.

You dont threaten a mother in intense pain because of your beliefs or preferences.

I was completely naked when everyone walked in for the section. My nurse and anesthesiologist had put me in one of those heated gowns and I was sweating, partially because I was stressing that I was having to go under general. She started putting the pulse monitors on me and was like, "wow you are sweating, here, let me fix that for you" and she whipped my gown completely off and proceeded to fan me with it. lol " I couldn't talk because the mask was strapped to my face and my hands were tied down. So there I was, completely naked and there are abt 20 some odd people in the OR. Awkward.

Ours wouldnt let you video tape or take pics of the birth or anything.. only ABOVE the birth zone.. lol

Every baby had their own little room with a sink a recliner a sofa and a breast pump. For being such an awful experience we were in a really amazing facility.

I made sure I was covered up.. or people would have caught hell

It sucked. Because of their stupid rules, I have no pictures of my son from the hospital. smurfs.

That sounds amazing! We have a huge room and all the babies are like curtained off? I guess it makes it easier for the nurses to hear/take care of the babies.

They need more comfortable chairs though.

nakie?!! oh em. i would rather have a bucket of water thrown on me than be nakie and fanned with my gown! actually i think i would have loved if someone threw a buckeet of water on me

They should be used to people cursing. A lot of people do that when they are in pain.

You would think so! I normally just dont throw cuss words out in front of ANYONE, but the pain.. Ive never had so much pain... it was AWFUL. I couldnt barely breathe because I was crying so hard. (She was only 2lbs 14ozs born too)

And still.. 6 days later.. my WHOLE body is SOOOOOO sore.
