You can buy Coffee with food stamps. As long as it has a Nutrition Label on it and it's not hot prepared food, you can buy it.

Why would you waste your food stamp money that is supposed to be for healthy, nutritious meals on coffee? Especially expensive coffee. If you have to buy it, buy the $2.99 jar/can of generic.

::shrug:: this was my thought. When I was in food stamps I bought the store brand coffee to stretch my buck. I still do actually and I haven't been on stamps in years lol

Yes you can. You can get anything from the deli, as long as it isn't hot. You can get subs and deli meat and cheese

The only thing you can't buy with food stamps is a hot meal. Like if you went to the store to buy a Hot Pocket, you'd have to buy it cold and THEN heat it up in their microwave. You can pretty much buy whatever junk you want with them. WIC is the one with all the rules...

You don't have to explain. It's nobody's business what you buy. You're the one who was approved, you're the one consuming it, so you're the one who gets to choose.

The only thing I couldn't get was alcohol and hot foods.

You can get coffee. I ate goooood when I had FS because they gave me $575/month for me and an infant. Now way for me to spend that much so I had pork chops and steaks fairly regularly.

And ignore the people with the sticks up their asses about FS.
