Quoting JennaBoobear:" im asking because i have coupons for it, which will make it a reasonable price. its not like ill be buying that kind regularly"

Idk how it is where you live but when you use coupons you have to pay the sales tax on that coupon. Like one time I got some crescent rolls and the cashier scanned the coupon for $1 off and I had to pay them 6 cents out of pocket. Which was fine but it caught me off guard.

You can get energy drinks. I bought monster with mine once.

I hate when people try and pull that smurf. They buy something with FS, and then are like... "Can I use your microwave?" Um, no. That's the rule with FS... no hot food. Sneaky bastards.

Quoting khigh:" Why would you waste your food stamp money that is supposed to be for healthy, nutritious meals on coffee? Especially expensive coffee. If you have to buy it, buy the $2.99 jar/can of generic."

i dont think food stamps has rules saying you can only buy healthy stuff because if so then theyd have a ban on a lot more than hot ready meals

Depends on how the store has them listed. If they are marked as food items. You can. If they are marked as nutritional supplement , you cant

But after they pay for it it doesnt matter. I dont see the big deal in letting them warm their food up *shrug*

That varies state to state. In Ohio, you can't buy Monster on FS. but you can buy Red Bull.

I bought cases upon cases of Diet Coke when I was on it because I was literally addicted to it. Not healthy at all. And I bought all of the candy for holiday baking with it.

So like... if someone bought a burrito with cash, they could heat it in the microwave, but if someone bought it with fs, they couldn't?

This is what I was thinking. When I was 19 I worked for a grocery store. A good portion of my customers who used FS, were buying things like, Frozen Pizza, Mac and Cheese, Top Ramen, and Hamburger helper.

I'm pretty sure I got them at Walmart. This was 2 years ago. I got them for someone who was visiting my house for a week. Lol
