Can I pump?

LO was born on Sunday and my milk just came in. Is it okay for me to pump? I swear I've been told that it could mess up my supply but I don't have much choice. On Tuesday I'll be away from LO for about four hours and he'll obviously need to eat during that time.

Yea its fine to pump, sometimes its recommended to build supply. When your away from your LO try to pump then too, missing feeds can mess with supply if you do it a lot and you'll probably feel really full if you don't.
