Annoyed

We finally got to a name me and SO agreed on. but my moms side of the family is throwing a bitch fit because my cousin who 1.isnt pregnant 2. isnt TTC 3. is moving across the country and 4. i dont even talk to likes the same name. and its not even the same name, its close. Me and SO are now to the point we are refusing to talk about her name with ANYONE else but each other. but my family wont leave me alone about it. EVERY SINGLE TIME i talk to anyone they ask if i changed her name or what her name is and iv told all of them all ready that we arent talking about it and they can find out when she gets here if we kept it. now the said cousin who has been silent up until this point has messaged me of facebook. i seen on the preview of it while going threw my messages, not even a smurfing HI how are are? havent talked to you in months. no just straight to the point, have you decided on a name yet? ug smurf off. what the hell would it matter anyway if i did. so what if what would they be 3d cousins had close names? there not going to be close in age or even grow up around eachother so everyone can suck my smurfing clit and shove there bullsmurf reasoning why i shouldnt name my kid what i want up there asses so far they can taste it. if it was really a huge problem she should of got knocked up first then huh?

You should tell them all that's the name and don't talk to you again until they can get over it.

Just because someone else likes the name doesn't mean you can't use it... I could see if she was pregnant and already picked the name but that's not the case, They seriously need to grow up, If I were you I would not change my mind.

Who cares if the names are simular... Although when you're really close and hang out a lot and the kids are all together, it's hard to know the name to yell out.

For example my daughters name is Isla (eye-la), and her cousins are Syra (my sisters kid), and Kyra (my brothers kid).... haha.

This   I would just message her back and not say hello, hi, how are you, etc. Just a one word (or two words if you have the middle name picked out) message with the name.

That's the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard. Name your child whatever you want to name her and forget about what they think. People can't put "dibs" on a baby name, especially if they aren't even pregnant!!! My inlaws took one of my favorite names and named their DOG that lol...but i wasn't even pregnant at the time so i just let it go. Funny enough now that i am pregnant i don't even like the name anymore.

And i'm just being super nosey and curious...whats the name you want to use??

Name your child what you want. She can either name her kid the name or not.

Personally I won't use a name that my cousin has used BUT if she isn't even pregnant or TTCing then I think it's up for grabs. She may change her name when she does get pregnant

shes not even planning to try til after she gets married next year and finshes her internship. its going to be at least 2+ years before they try.

Exactly. I would use Lilliana. If she were pregnant and due around the same time I would highly doubt I would use it. Like my two cousins due around the same time (within 6 months) and both named their sons Aiden. Same spelling and everything. That is just too much. And it isn't like she wants Lilliana. She wants Lily
