bleeding after sex

My baby will be 4 months old on Dec 10th. During the birth, I hemorrhaged very badly, to the point of almost having a hysterectomy. Well, now every time me & my husband have sex, I bleed...& continue doing so for a couple of days. He's average size (penis wise), so its not like I have an extra lg penis hitting my cervix. Any ideas? Think the post partum bleeding might have something to do with it??? Its really worrying me...
