No. Maybe I'd do something smaller, but not to a mall. I personally wouldn't take a newborn to a mall anyways, but for sure not somewhere where other kids have been touched and sat. Like, hundreds. And it's not like they're santaizing the suit between all the kids. And during flu/RSV season?

nooooooo. I would not. I did have my first with medical problems so maybe I'm paranoid, but nope.

I don't know why but the image of a Santa-creeper at the mall holding a newb makes me LOL.

Nope, I wouldn't but DS got his picture with Santa at 8 months old and drooled all over his lap lol.
ETA: It was at a school, not the mall. Not that the germ count was any lower lol.

No. Not when smurf like RSV and whooping cough could kill the baby. Not worth it.

I'm sure it would be a super cute picture....BUT, not worth getting him sick. Just think about how many kids have been sitting on Santa all day - and who knows what they were into before they sat there.

I like one of the other posters idea, set up a scene in your house, you can make it look really good without a whole lot of work or money.

Nope. Especially because my cousin took her week old baby to the mall and he got whooping cough. I'm not a big fan of exposing newborns to that many germs unless its an errand that can't wait. They don't have a great immune system at first.

Nooooo. Not worth it. Too many germs out there. You're not even supposed to make more than short trips outside the house before they're 6 weeks old. Plus I don't even like friends of my family members to hold my kid let alone some guy that nobody in my family has ever met.  

yah i took my own pics of her in her "my first xmas onsie" and shes getting newborn pictures done friday so there will be more xmas ones done... shes barley a week old id never.. guessi ts a personal preferance

I took my son at two months. I'm not sure I'd let a one week old, though. I was super possessive of him for the first few weeks, though.

Yup! My boys were only like three weeks old when they got their pictures done with Santa for the first time!

Maybe I'd have some relative dress up as santa and have my newborn take a picture with him.

yea i would cause no matter how old they are its still there first christmas
