8more weeks of the 17p

At the time I will be 32weeks .. I'm excited that I got 8 weeks left for the shot I really hope baby will stay in till 36 weeks r more ill be happy but its been a ruff road so far..crossing fingers..

Has anyone else got the 17p if so when did u stop the shot..and how many weeks did u make it to..? Would love to hear ur stories

I'm about to start mine. Doc mentioned stooping at 32-34 weeks

I stopped at 34 weeks and had him at 37 weeks. I think they continue them normally until 34-36 weeks only.

That's good u will be starting them..I got lucky n had no side effects..

I didn't have much reaction to the progesterone pessaries I was on, so I'm hoping to get lucky again!

When my Nurse came today she told.me it was my last shipment and she ordered 8 weeks worth she said that should be it unless my doctor wants to add two more weeks then will let me know. If she adds two more weeks I will be fine wit that as long as it help her stay in there longer

I can't imagine they'd do that. 8 weeks puts you at 40 weeks, right? That's full term. They don't want your body to go over the point where it's time to deliver by preventing labor. They don't want to induce or hurry labor, but they also don't want to stop it from happening if it's time and the baby is term.

OH. hahaa. I thought she meant she's 32 weeks NOW and they're doing another 8 weeks of shots. haah. Sorry.

Lol its ok ..ya they said they would stop them at 32 to 34 weeks so ill be happy if I can go to 36 r more last one made it to 34 but my water broke @32 so I have to be induced.

Oh, I understand. My first one came at 27 weeks. It's very scary. I hope your LO hangs in there until at least 36 weeks!

27 weeks wow I bet that was scary. 34 weeks had me freaked out ..I had to go in this last weekend to have them stop contractions so I'm really hopen to go past 34

My last came at 23 weeks. This is the first time I've been given ANY intervention, so it's all new to me!

O wow I could not image is that the baby in ur picture? Ya this is my first time getting all this stuff too..man I hope wit this one they watch u close and do everything they can to keep that baby cooking till 34 weeks r longer..

That's him. He lived an hour.

The new doc at least seems to be working toward protecting this baby. Hope it works.
