Just wondering how many centimeters do you have to be to be admitted into the hospital?? I've heard 3 And then 5

Around here dilation means nothing. If you aren't in active labor they won't admit you.

You can be 8cm walking around. Baby will come when ready.

I was walking around 4cm for over 3+ weeks. If you aren't in active labor or your water hasn't broken they won't admit you.

I was 1 cm and my water had broke.

Most don't have bloody show until active labor.

You're not screwed you will know when you go into active labor. Trust me. I never had a bloody show at home i just lost my mucus plug.

I was 5 cm and 100% effaced. They almost sent me home because my contractions weren't regular yet. Fortunately after walking the halls I dilated more and contraction become more consistent.

Here you have to be 5. And if you don't change there usaly break your water.

my OB will keep you in L&D if you are 4cm and having contractions every 5 minutes. otherwise, he sends you home
