How do you get bikini confidence??

Everyone tells me I look fine in my suit, but I feel weird in it. We are leaving for Hawaii in a month, and I just don't know how I will ever be comfortable walking the beach or the pool.

So give me some tips here??

What do your suits look like? What is your body type?

I lost all my weight like amonth pp and I still don't have confidence...3.5 years later

I have never in my life worn a bikini. I freaking hate swim suits. I usually wear shorts with a one piece. Makes me feel more comfortable.

You kinda just have to not care what anyone thinks of you lol... No one will be examining your body anyway lol... I'm still a little chubby one year pp -150 pounds and 5'7 and wear a bikini. I don't care if people think I look like smurf, there's a lot Of bitches that are bigger than me...

You're miles away from home. Whenever I'm in Jamaica I don't give two smurfs what people think cause well, I'll never see them again in my life   But overall I am not a terribly self conscious person either. I see myself different than most see me (I'm sure).

I am thin but I have always been self conscious about being in a bikini, mostly because I have a bubble butt lol. I also have stretch marks on my thighs. Everyone says I look great in a bikini but I've never been comfortable with it. I try not to worry about it though, especially in Hawaii. It seems like every time I've gone to Hawaii there are always tons of people around you who don't have bikini bodies (or uh, speedo bodies) but they are just enjoying Hawaii and thats what you have to do. Don't waste time worrying about what everyone else thinks, just enjoy yourself.

I guess i don't think about it,or care what anyone thinks. I'm 5'1 and 100lbs. I could have bigger boobs to make the suit look better,but whatever lol.

Though I have worn a bikini. Jut not a string one. And I was like 13 and around 100 lbs and still not comfortable in it.
They're just not for me.

I just don't care. I'm not here to please you, so what's it matter?
Plus, you're going on vacation....you will never see those people again

It's for a convention for my husband's line of work. I will be seeing a lot of those people again, lol

I wore bikinis when I was younger but now that I have three little boys I'm not comfortable in it around them. My body is back to normal so that's not the problem, but my issue is playing. I don't like sitting around building sandcastles in a little bikini. I prefer the bikini top with the little skirt bottom. It's much easier to play in and to me...that's why I go to the beach with my family. To play.

When I go with my kids I usually wear my shorts and tank tops the whole time. But it's just me and the husband. And I did have a bunch of, er, work done so DH thinks I need to show it off.

I still think I am the fat girl, lol

Well then....
fake it til you make it. so long as you act confident, that's all that will matter

Well that's a different story.   If your husband thinks you look good enough to show off, then that should give you at least a little boost of confidence.   Maybe you could run around the house in your bikini for a few days to get used to the idea of wearing it.
